Day Z

March XX 20XX. 0200 hours, First incident occurs in a small community in the state of XXXXXX. Subject was assaulted by XXXX XXXXXX and received multiple bite and scratch wounds. 7 hours past subject was presumed dead. At 1400 hours Subject 1 awoken in full zombified state. Was put down by hospital security.


March XX 20XX. 1700 hours. The surrounding area is quarantined, Media is informed of a chemical spill. Special forces move it to contain the situation.


April X 20XX. 1200 hours. Quarantined area is expanded to over 100 square miles, General public remains in the dark. Media continues to do as it is told.

April XX 20XX. 1500 hours, Quarantined perimeter is breached by hostiles, US military receives orders to aid in it's eradication of hostiles.

April XX 20XX. 1700 hours. US military breaks off attacks as more breakouts occur around the globe.

April XX 20XX. 0800 hours, The general public discovers the truth. Widespread panic breaks out on a global scale.

April XX 20XX. 0500 hours, In the chaos of the riots, the US government body evacuates to a disclosed location. Several country leaders follow suit.
at 1000 hours, a state of emergency is declared in all countries, Global infestation reached critical levels and no hope of containment could be found, 1200 hours, a new form of time keeping is set in place, current date changed to Day Zero of undead occupation.

John hit the ground running, dress shoes, pants, shirt, and tie painted him as a business man, in reality he was being interviewed for the job of a lifetime when the news hit. Shortly after all hell broke loose. Swarms of people packed what they could and drove off in the hopes of finding refuge. All that was left now were those unable to find a working vehicle, and the dead. For now all was quiet, The small town that the interview had taken place in was deserted, 100 miles away from home John's only goal now was to get back to his family and make sure they were okay. He stopped running just as he came up on the highway, dropping to the ground he spied the first of many. Left arm hanging by bits of flesh, the grey skinned moaning creature shambled across the road. In the confusion and panic John had managed to acquire a 9mm pistol. A Glock 19, The clips held ten rounds which thankfully John had found a spare in the broken down car he took the gun from. However he knew that firing the gun now might alert the others around. While he couldn't call himself a zombie expert he knew better than to go in guns blazing. And so all he could do now was wait and pray that the zombie passed by without noticing him.

His heart raced as he ran down the side of the highway. The sound of gunfire in the distance caught the zombie's attention and it had shuffled off towards it. From the cars deserted on the road he had managed to grab himself a backpack and had managed to stuff it full of snack food, drinks, and some first aid equipment found in the other cars. His mind wandered to who the people who owned these cars were. What caused them to forsake the safety of their vehicles and caused them to try and make it out on foot. To be honest a part of him didn't want to know. It was hard enough on him worrying about his own family, worrying about others would just make everything harder on him.

Nat snickered as she watched from atop a tall overhead sign on the freeway, lifting her hand to rest just above her brow she leaned forward slightly, watching the area for any movement. after a while of watching things scurry about she chuckled inwardly with a broad grin as she squealed with delight "This is my dream come true! its like... apocalypse in -real- life! ohmygosh wait till the guys see this. i've practically been ready for this for years~" she thought to herself with a wide grin as she looked down at the bodies below before shaking her head. "No one ever looks up." she said to herself before clipping in a new ammo cartrage from her pack as she walked to the side of the sign and skidded down it onto the roof of a car, hopping across one to the other, the plethora of ammo cartrages strapped to her chest moving only slightly from her jumping about, on her back a pack filled with light supplies and a medical pack for emergency use, strapped to her leg am army-grade dagger and a katana at her hip. even from a distance it was obvious this woman was armed to the teeth.
