war of the white horse Empty war of the white horse

Post by Vox Tue Jan 05, 2010 1:17 am

    War of the white horse.

For years there has always been tention between the other races, and the elves were the ones who would join sides with the one they deemed good. For years they would defeat the forces of darkness, or those that threttned the land. But who.... who would come to the aid of the elves if war ever came to them? Who would be brave enough to step into a conflict of the elves? Or better yet... between the elves.
    Allow me to explain.

Hundreds of years ago, all was well, and all was regular and expected untill that is... the elves started to change, they divided, some headded north while others fared better south. The elves changed... the features of the different groups grew more distinct, so did their behaviours and specialties. Those that lived in the forests became faster, expert craftsmen and experts in the use of the bow, they called themselves the wood elves, masters of the forests. Those that moved to the north adapted to the rugged mountaous terrain by growing wings. They learnt the language of the gryphon and used them as guards, mounts and companions. The elves that moved to the east grew ferce, masters of fire and destruction, their skin went dark and so did their personalities. There were many that made their own groups, each one different than the last... Some specialising in combat, and others in magic.
while they were quiet for years at a time, the problem started when the other races pleaded them for help. No longer would a mighty force of joined warriors arrive at the battle, but small leagons of seperated elves, who would end up fighting amongst themselves instead of attacking the enemy. Needless to say, tentions grew between the groups and the elves started small scale battles that soon escalated into a full out war. At first it was almost like a free for all, a complete mess... but ... as time went on, the clans joined into two groups, it was hard to distinguish the two as it was a complete mix of elves on both sides. Wood elf against wood elf, dark elf agaisnt dark elf. In all the confusion the other races couldnt decide on which side to help.... that is... until the one group, the army of Ennon started attacking the humans, and as time passed, some of the races as well. That left them with two choices... Flee... or join Anack, the suposed 'good' army. After months of decision making they decided to Join the other army, because if they fled, the fered that the Ennon would surely hunt them down. While others decided to join the Ennon.

That was two hundred and fifty years ago, and yet.... the blood of the races still boil as if it was the first month of the skirmish. And once again the Army of Ennon and Anack are about to bump heads on the plane of Valturi. Surrounded by a thick forest to the east and west, a large mountain range to the north, and a rapid river to the south, this would be either the longest.. or the shortest battle of the war. But one thing is certain.... it will be the most decicive battle ever to be fought.... The armies fear for the worst, the leaders of Anack fear that Tyra, the leader of the Ennon, has been planning something that will turn the war in their favor. Who is to say.
The time of preparing is almost over... and the battle draws near.

war of the white horse Empty Re: war of the white horse

Post by Vox Tue Jan 05, 2010 1:21 am

The noon sum was high in the sky, and the heat beat down on the campsite, where some of the recruits decided to wear less armour. The leaves in the trees moved, but there was not even a breath of wind, the air seemed thick and heavy and some of the soldiers of teh small Anack encampment had already succumbed to the heat.
In the middle of the small campsite was a tent, fairly larger than the others, From within the tent a meeting was being held that would probably either aid the Anack....or cause its downfall.
A bulky commander pushed up from the table and started to rant at the top of his voice, while pointing his finger at a young girl in red at the head of the table. "I think its high time that we remove her from her position and pramote someone more capable of defeating the Anack!!"
The girl lifted her hat out of her eyes with her finger. "Commander... as i have said before, there is no need for shouting at meetings of this nature. I believe a cool head must be kept at all times otherwise the enemy would of already won. Now..." she changed her tone slightly to sound more commanding "If you would kindly be seated."
The commander reluctantly sat himself down, his face still red with rage.
"Need i remind you that regardless of my age i have been able to supress Tyras attacks. Granted that we have not gotten any closer to winning... but we have not gotten any further from it either. Come to think of it, if you can fight Tyra face to face more than twenty times and still live to tell the tale, be my guest and take my position."
The commanders face went a slight shade of pink... this time from embarrasment.
A middle aged elf spoke up from Kana's right. "Be that as it may, we are running low on resorces and scouts have reported that a large portion of the Ennon is massing nearby. We are finished if they decide to attack." The elf lowered his head for a moment and let out a sigh "This was only supposed to be a scouting opperation... to see how lage their army is.... And ours is leagues away! Unless we get out now Kana we are all going to die!"
Kana shifted slightly, "I realise that... But fear not, i did not come completely unprepared." The members of the councill stared at her, obviously unexpecting her statement.
"We stay Ladies and gentlemen. And that is my final decision... we will wait for the rest of our forces to arrive, and hold of the Ennon until they arrive."
"YOU ARE GOING TO GET US ALL KILLED!!!" the commander from earlyer had shouted.
Kana got up from her seat and cooly walked up to the man, who was almost twice the size of her. She spoke softly but in a firm tone "Do you take me for a fool commander? Or would you rather have us all picked off the moment we left our position?" His eyes grew wide.
Kana smiled and spoke up so all of them could hear "Thats right people. They have been expecting us to leave for some time now and have planned an assult the moment we take off..."
"And how did you come to posess this information .. Kana" One rather thin human noble enquired.
"I managed to capture a member of the Ennon that had been watching our position for some time now.... Simply put people... We move.. we Die. You are excused." With that she walked confidently out of the tent to leave the others with their thoughts.

"ETHRI!!!" A dark melevolent creature only known as Tyra, the leader of the Ennon, shouted, her dark voice ecchoing through the hall.
A rather scrawny hunched over creature scrambled to its master, "Y.. yes tyra??" It stuttered.. its voice shakey.
"Where is that.. item i requested?"
    "B... but its a per.."
Tyra got up from her throne and punched the creature across its malformed face "You dare correct me?? Do you wish to see the darkness of another dusk!"
"Y.. Yes Tyra... S.. sorry tyra."
She sat heself back down "Thats better. Now bring me the Anack scout that we found sniffing around the camp... i wish to .. question him."
The creature nodded and went on its way. Soon after two guards dragged in a lithe looking wood elf. Strangly enough he diddnt look beaten up at all... In truth it was kept that way because Tyra took mutch joy in ding it herself. With one swift movement she glided up to the elf and put a dagger to his neck. "Where is the rest of your glorious army little elf?"
"NEVER!" he spoke with such a confidence that it made Tyra grinn "My.. what a difference to your other friends... " She lauched coldly "It it going to give me much pleasure killing you slowly. LEAVE US!" the guards bowed and moved out of the hall.
"I am feeling generous.... tell me the location to the larger sector of your army and i will kill you quickly... Make me squease the information out of you... and i will turn you over to my friend Valdred... death will not come quickly little elf."
The elf growled and gritted his teeth "NEVER!!"
"So be it." Tyra took the dagger from the Elfs neck and quickly sliced off his hand. The elf screamed in pain and grabbed the stump at the end of his arm. Tyra grinned and paced slowly around him "Same question.... This time a wrong answer will earn you a slice to the other hand... then i will slowly work my way up to the arms."
He shook with fear , his past courage ssemed to leave him. "No.... no. ill never tell you... never."
Tyra sighed and lifeted him up by his only hand "You wont be needing this where you are going..." Quickly she cut below her grip, severing the hand. The elf cried out once again. Tyra threw the hand down to the elf, "Why dont you re-attatch it!" She laughed loudly, her mocking laughter seemed to entencify with the eccho. "You still feeling brave? or do you wish to tell me."
Tears welled up in the elfs eyes, his protest now reduced to only a whimper. "no..."
Tyra spat to the side "So be it" She severed his left arm completely and then proceded to hack of his foot. And yet the elf still refused. Tyra made one last cut to the elf, slicing the tendon by his foot. "ETHRI!" the creature burst through the doors and scrambled to Tyras feet. "Get my old freind Valdred.... Tell him he can do what he pleases with this one. " She grinned "Whats left of him anyway." With that the creature scurried off to the darkness and Tyra walked out of the hall into the 'campsite' It couldnt really be called that, because the Ennon had literally constructed a tempry fortified city to hold the army. She walked over to the balcony and stared out to the city , noting all her minions hard at work before turning to go back into the hall... hoping that the elf wouldnt bleed to death before he made an apperence

As soon as Ethri left the room Valdred came out of his hiding spot. He quitely walked up to her till he was only a few inches away from her. He pulled out one of his knives and pressed the tip of blade against the back of her throat. "You know... There are countless people out there that would love for me to drive this all the way through you're pretty little neck. Fortunate for you that i enjoy working for you. If only because it gives me numerous chances to admire your backside." He put the knife back into it's sheath and wrapped his arms around Tyra's neck and leaned forward resting his head on her shoulder. "So my mistress. Why exactly do you want me to deal with the elf hmm? You shouldn't deny yourself the pleasure on my account."

Tyra grinned "My but you always have but the most timely of apperences Valdred." Her voice cold as ice, piercing the small whimpers of the dying elf with ease. A chuckle escaped from her lips "You wouldnt kill me... and we both know why." her hand moved from her side to rest it upon one of Valdreds hands. "As for the Elf... " she chuckled once again, "Well. it would be nice to watch as he dies a slow painfull death by your hands... an entertaining sight."
The elf shifted from where it lay in a dark pool of its own blood, its once white hair drenched with blood. "These people..... are monsters..." he whispered weakly to himself.
Tyra glanced in the elfs direction, only to see him trying to get his body to sit upright. "looks like we have a stubborn one here.... not entirely willing to die." she swiftly loosed herself of Valdreds grip and walked calmly over to the elf until she was right infront of him. She slowly knelt down to look the elf in the eyes, with one finger she lifted his chin, forcing him to look back. With clear smooth words she said, "you will die here, whats left of you will be fed to the beasts and your soul will never find rest." her grin broadned "Too bad you diddnt want to squeal... you could of lived... too bad." Tyra got to her feet and walked back to Valdred. with a smile on her face and a hint of cold laughter in her voice she said, "go ahead and take your time with this one. If we leave him he will most probably blead to death anyway..... but... that wouldnt exactly be the best for entertainment would it?"

in the shadows behind a tent in the Anack encampment, a figure snickered. Everyone walking past was seemingly oblivious to it.... Mostly because it was supposed to be somewhere completely different. Ming inched closer to the tent with a wide grin on her face. She reached out with her hand and took hold of the worn fabrick, her claws ripping some of it as her grip tightned. Without warning she dashed from behind her hiding spot, right back to another row of tents. The whole thing must of happned in two seconds at most. Next thing people knew, the tent had turned into a flaming ruin. Thankfully the tent was empty.
From where she had stepped out Kana looked at the growing pillar of smoke and shook her head. "where there is smoke... theres fire." she let of a sigh. "I can only guess who that could of been..." se said in a slight sarcastic tone. She turned to a group of soldiers that were talking near her. "Arabast, make sure that that smoke does not leave the canopy, the enemy knows we are here alredy, but any sign of wekness is sure to send them after us." Before they could think Kana spotted another trail of smoke from another side of the camp. " theres just no end to this is there..." She looked back at the sodiers who were still standing there. "What you waiting for! move! and if any of you spot Ming, be sure to bring her to me."

Valdred let out a sigh. "What's the point? He's no one of importance. I doubt killing him would do anything other than entertain you. I saw patch him up and let him go. Not like he has anything useful to tell the Anacks. Most likely he'll just piss himself and babble like a child." He turned and walked out of the room but stopped at the door way and looked at Tyra. "If you truly wish for me to entertain you i can think of much better ways which would be rather enjoyable for both of us i'm sure."

Xion stood behind Kana and sighed. "It seems that our little firebrand is acting up again. I swear Kana.. Your parents would never have allowed that thing in our camps. She should be out on her own. Perhaps as a spy of somesort... She would bring unending misery to those basterds. Though i will admit... She is a fine blacksmith." He looked up at the smoke and sighed again. "Though i'm not sure that all of this is worth it."

Tyra let out a sigh "I am disapointed in you valdred. I thought you would have enjoyed killing this defenceless whelp. The only reason i would even consider having him put back together is so that i could do it all again. Besides.... he wouldnt be chalenging enough for me for a bit of sport." She walked back over to the elf "Looks like this is your lucky day little elf..." she unsheathed her blade from her hip and swung it to the side. "Dont worry... your precious leader will soon be joining you.... in more pieces than you can count!" with that she reversed teh momentum of the blade and cut off the elfs head. As she did so however, the body of the elf dissapered. "What?!" she let out a curse "Ethri!!" the creature burst through the doors and glanced at Valdred only momentarily before hurrying over to its master. "T.. Tyra?"
She did not move her gaze from where the elf once was "Where was it found."
    "I.. it Tyra?"
She spun round with such furiosity Ethri thought it would be the end of him. "WHERE DID THEY FIND THE BLOODY ELF ETHRI!!!"
He stumbled back "In..... In the ..."
"SPIT IT OUT BEFORE I FORCE YOU TO!!!"
Ethri made an odd chunking noise and held his scrawny arms over his head, he shouted out the answer more in fear than anything else "the charts room Tyra! The.. charts room!"
Tyra spat "Of no importance Valdred.... Well he is of bloody importance now!" She streightned herself. "He probably took the time that we were talking to make a copy of himself and teleport the real him back to the small Anack encampment.... Unfortunately kana is no fool...." she thought a moment. "With injuries like that he would take at least a week to regain consiousness. Im surprised that using any spells like that wouldnt of killed him on the spot."
"Ethri, gather the redcloaks. were out for a spot of hunting..."

Kana sighed "You may be right. Thats the fifth fire this week.... and its only tuesday. She watched as the smoke was swiftly whisped away. "Looks like the mages have that under controll." she took a step forward before something caught her eye. a drop of blood apered a small whime infront of her. The drop of blood grew until it was a shallow pool. Even before the elf materealised she realised what had happned. She ran forward "Someone call a healer!" when she got there he had fully materialised. "I was able to get it..." he said in almost a whisper. Kana put her finger on his lips "You can tell me about it when you have the strength." Two sldiers arrived with a stretcher made of two polls and a canvas cloth. They lifted the elf onto it and hurried him away. Kana glared at the ground for a moment "This is her doing... no doubt about it." she got to her feet and looked to the side as Ming came wondering into view. "So.. there you are." Ming froze... clearly she had not thought that Kana was still by the meeting tent.
"Planning to bur this tent up too eh?"
    Ming chuckled nervoisly "uuh.. no."
Kana raised an eyebrow "Really now.." She glanced at Xion then back at Ming. before continuing she let out a sigh "I have a new station to put you in... You will act as a double agent and go 'join' the Ennon army. Bring us what information you can and..." she grinned... knowing that if she said this, Ming would definately cause extra chaos for the Ennon. "Go have fun.."
Mings face lit up and she grinned ear to ear "Ill leave right away!!" befire another word was said she sprinted off out of view towards the Ennon in the mountains.
"That takes care of that ... we may see the smoke by tomorrow morning."

Valdred sighed. "Well that figures. But no matter. Luckily some of us are smart enough not to leave our secrets unguarded." He flashed a wicked grin. "Funny thing toxins. Dark elves are immune to quite a few of them but uhh... The other elves aren't so lucky." He walked over and began to rub Tyra's shoulders. "So relax. Even if he does survive there's very little chance of him being able to tell Kana anything."

Xion watched in silence as the tortured elf was taken away and Ming qwas sent out to the enemy camp. He didn't really think that Kana would send Ming out on her own. He started to worry about what would happen if they discovered her. He looked over at Kana. "You do realize that you may have just sent her to her death right? If she is discovered those monsters will surely kill her.... or worse."

Tyra turned her cold stare to Valdred "By Isnikaths mane you better hope that youre right... besides." She grinned "I think its been a long enough time that that shameful excuse of a camp has been alowed to stay." she chuckled and walked to the doors before they were pulled open by unseen hands. "I was just looking for an excuse to attack is all. Besides... one of our scouts reported that my favorite little enemy has been sighted there. Odd for her to be so far away from the larger portion of her army.." As she walked out the doors a runner was already waiting for her. "Go prepare my charger. We leave at dusk."

Kana turned round with a gentle grin on her face "Thats not what was intended. Ming is about to help us in more ways than one. she turned back round and started to walk to the centre of the camp "Knowing Tyra... shes just been itching for an excuse to attack us, even as outnumbered as we are. No i think Ming is going to be a very good distraction. But right now we have to get this camp into order. Tyra will undoubtedly only bring a few of her followers to take us out... and then divide those forces to gather both in front... and fom behind in order to try outflank us." She stopped walking, placed her staff on her shoulders and let her arms hang off it. "In order for my plan to work... we must first get rid of any and all scouts Tyra positioned in the area."
Before she could continue, the human noble from the meeting rushed up to her with a horrified look on his face. "Did i just hear you correctly... or did you not just say that we are going to be fighting against tyra with only our handfull of men!"
Kana sighed, "Not in those exact words.. but yes. We will have a amall window of oppertunity to withdraw from this position and relocate.... and if we are lucky enough withdraw completely from the area."
"But you said that we were to stay?"
"Times change and so do plans. If we don't move now we will be slaughtered and theres no doubt about that. Now do something usefull and get your human mercinarries to guard the medics tent. I can just hope that he can make it... the information that he harbours could be crucial." Without waiting for another task to be given the noble turned and made his way to his men to issue his orders.
Kana rested her staff on the floor and rubbed her temples for a moment. "Nobles can be such a pain... Unfortunately without them our army would be even smaller... and our coinpurse more shallow."

Valdred rolled his eyes and followed Tyra. "You're a rather hasty one aren't you? A legion of the finesty assassins are at your disposal and yet you choose to charge in head first. Part of me is amazed that you're still in charge."

Xion nodded. "Very well then. I see your point. At this point i believe a retreat is the best course of action. She has us at too much of a disadvantage." Xion watched the noble in silence. After he left and Kana began to complain about the nobles Xion reached down and rested his hand on her shoulder. "Just between you and me. I don't care for them much either. I would gladly seek out another way to secure finances if i could. Though that would require leaving you unprotected for a time. And i do not believe it's worth the risk."

Tyra walked down the stairs into the 'city' and made her way towards the east towers. "Need i remind you that Kana is down there... along with that thrice cursed constant companion of hers... I was denied the pleasure of killing her parents as they died by an assassins blade... this time however, such a pleasure will not be kept from me."
Tyra stopped in her tracks as she saw a muscular dark haired elf, that seemed to have some sort of resemblence to her. He turned round and wore a grin on his face. "Why if it isnt my dear little sister..."
    "Shut your trap Orcum."
He acted out a wince... with his grin stil on his face. "Ow Tyra... no love for your big brother eh?" he said in a rather taunting manner.
Tyra glared at him "Ran out of love... have plenty of Lothe though if youre interested."
Orcum chuckled "Is that so? Going to torture me and feed you to your dog over there?" he glanced only breifly at Valdred before turning his attention back to Tyra.
This time it was her turn to grin. "My... still sore about how i was chosen to be leader and not a weakling such as youself... Poor old Orcum... the flow of the magics stagnent in your frail body..."
Orcum's grin faded, only to be replaced by a scowl. he pointed his finger at Tyra in an almost threttening manner, "You listen to me ... One day you too will be replaced. That child will get older and overthrow you! You know as much as i that he is ten times stronger than you." he laughed "well... it seems to me that this war is only fit for children! seeing as how the Anack have already gone down that path and how you will soon be overthrown by a child of the Fane!"
Tyra was so close to slitting her brothers throat that at any move or slight twitch would cause her to grab for her blade. Noting the danger to his wellbeing Orcum lowered his hand and strided off into a sea of soldiers. Tyra's anger was so intence, it felt like a furnace welling up inside, ready to be unleashed at any moment. This was not actually very far from the truth... as her brother left her clenched fist started to glow an ember red, small flames flickering from her fingers.

Ming sprinted down the planes, looking forward to having new things to burn to ashes. Just the thought made her grin in anticipation. "Thi is going to be great! i wonder how many ennon there are!! and how flamable their camp is!!" She ran on for hors... not even thinking to stop. After the sun had started to decend from the sky, Ming could see the bese of the mountain and with it a large grey blob on the mountanside. "Is that it? .... wow.. if i can see it from here the place must be HUGE! Kana dosnt stand a chance if they decide to attack." She stopped running for a moment and decided to take a short breather, she sat herself down on a nearby rock and squinted at the grey blob. "hmmmn..." She rummaged in her small backpack that she had pilfered on the way out. "I thought i saw a pair of dwarven binoculars in here somewhere..... AHAH!!" She picked them out from the pack and stared at the blob through them... She was able to see the general shape of the city as well as some dots moving on the outside of the city. "Those cant be people..... wouldnt be able to see them from here... hmmn.... although... people on horses you might be able to see... quite a few of them too... dont think this can be very good...."

Kana had spent the whole time preparing her small group, she had planned an ambush that hopefully would catch the Ennon off guard and enable them to get away without too many losses. The entire camp was a buzz of activity "You there, put out those cooking fires!" Kana shouted orders to her group while she oversaw the whole opperation "Pack the supplies into the wagons and hide them in the tents!" She lifted a dead Ennon scout onto her shoulder and piled them up with the three others they had caught. Once everything was done Kana took one last look over the camp... it looked desolate save for the few soldiers and nobles that had come with her. She walked up to a runner that was just buisy sweeping up large patches of dirt with a branch.. hiding the footprints that were caused by all the activity. "Go wait by the treeline.. when you see anyone coming we need you to come streight back here. Understood?" the runner nodded and sprinted off to carry out his orders. Kana turned to Xion and let out a sigh, "Right... now all we need to do is duck into the hiding sopts the moment they show up. and hope to hell that it isnt the whole damn army shes bringing here..."

Valdred watched as Orcum walked away. "You know..... It would be pretty easy for me to kill him for you. Along with that kid he was talking about if it really bothers you... For a price that is. "He started to chuckle.

Xion nodded at Kana. "Indeed. However knowing our enemy it'll only be a small group of soldiers. The dark elves have a history of underestimateing us."

Tyra released her fist and the flames dissapated. "Orcum will meet his end come battle." She said with a sinister grin on her face. "And as for the child..." she started to walk of towards the gate with a slight glance towards the darkening sky. "The moment it tries to face me..." she looked back at valdred with a grin "There will be no need to worry about him anymore. Besides. its locked up in the fortified south tower. Theres no way its going to get out of there... for now anyway." A short moment later she arrived at the giant gates and the runner was already there with her giant black charger all armoured and ready. "You coming with me Valdred? Or are you just going to stay here?" with that she mounted her charger and walked it through the gates to meet up with the other handfull of her minions, all clad in black armour from head to toe.

Ming grinned "Time for a diversion." she mumbled to herself and a blade of pure fire formed in her hand "FIRE!!!" with that she got to her feet and sprinted off in one direction, only to double back a few moments later, creating a huge square of fire, large enough in fact, that from the distance it would look like a large army had set the place alight.

Kana looked to the sky and saw the smoke "And that ladies and gentlemen is the start of it. Looks like ming is acting out the way i planned." she turned to Xion "And thats why it will work to our advantage." she walked to the side and climbed up a tree like an agile cat. "All right everyone! The Ennon will soon be here, and if al this works we will be able to get away. I'm not going to lie to you all. If we slip up, theres no doubt that we will be soon be slaughtered. Yes, there may be few now, but even if they retreat and we are not able to get outof here remember that there is an entire encampment filled with Ennon. And those will be upon us if we dont succed. But above all! All Ennon bleed the same! To arms!" with that the encampment cheered and drawed their weapons, ready for battle.

Torobi lay curled up in the centre of the tower, small blue flames flickering off his body. Some of which were curling harmlessly around Vekka, who was lying up against Torobi, his eyes closed as if he were sleeping. It wasn't really that hard to tell what state of mind he was in, The marks on his body were dark, meaning that the magic and rage within him was dormant. When he is angry, they would flare up to be a glowing red.
Torobi moved his head over and nudged Vekka with his snout. It spoke with an eerie whisper, "Vekka, Uno tse routroke netsa." Torobi spoke in his own language that only Vekkaseemed to understand. Vekka stirred and opend one eye and looked at the door which was still sealed shut, the symbols of the emmence wards placed on there a few days ago still glowed brightly. "What was that again?"
Torobi let out a sigh and rested his head back on the floor, "Shift change...."
Vekka sat up and rubbed his face for a moment, "What have i said about full scentences Torobi? i diddnt hear you the first time."
"The guards at the door have started the shift change. And in a few hours time the ward makers should arrive to replace the wards around the door. That would be the best time to make an escape."
A small chuckle escaped Vekka's lips, "Why wait for such a pathetic time to get out?"
Torobi tilted his head and looked his master in the eyes, "Vekka?"
"Whats the rush Torobi... I mean.. its such a nice place here. Why not stay ahwile eh? Make em think everythings ok you know? Besides... Those loudmouth guards are the perfect source of information."
Torobi let out a small snort, "You and your ideas... Whats next.."
Vekka raisen an eyebrow, waiting for him to continue.
"You know what... im not going to give you ideas this time."
Vekka let out a laugh and leaned back again.

"Fair enough. Though you know how usless your guards are.. I could slip pat them in my sleep... I actually think i have." He followed her to the gates and chuckled when she asked if he was coming. "What? And risk haveing you damaging your perfect face? My lady you would do well to remember that i am first and formost your bodyguard and that my skills are not just to be used in the dark. However i am without a steed so it appears that i may have to ride with someone." He flashed Tyra a semi wicked grin. "That being said it would be in your best intrest to keep me as close to you at all times during this battle. After all.. I've heard rumors that Kana herself has a rather powerful bodyguard. So you'll have to excuse me but i insist that i ride with you." Without another word and without waiting for Tyra's permission he hopped up behind her on her charger.

Xion's eyes began to glow blue. After Kana's speach he walked up to her and leaned towards her so that none of the other troops could hear. "My lady. During the battle i would advise you not to engage Tyra. I sense a great evil near her. Something i have not felt in many years."

Post by Vox Thu Jan 21, 2010 4:51 pm

Kana let off something that sounded like a growl, "Well that dosn't sound good." She let out a sigh, "none of the recruits are to know, the last thing we need now is low morale and panic."

Tyra shook her head for a moment and grinned forward, "Be that as it may i bet youre just looking for an excuse." She said in a rather playful tone, without loosing the dark edge to her voice. She rode the charger forward tout of the gates before one of her minions pointed out towards the direction of the large burning feild. Tyra scowled for a moment, "Thats far too small to be the main portion of the army... Intel has also informed me that the main army is quite some time away... Could this be a diversion? or a desperate plea for help." she grinned and turned to one of the knights on the horses, "Send a serch and destroy to that location... No doubt its just a distraction." With that she kicked her charger into motion, causing it to thunder down the path towards the valley below.

Ming watched in terror as the main group headded towrds the camp as a second one headded towards her. "Thats not good.... Sorry kana, im no use dead!" she grabbed up her pack and retreated back into the brush.

Torobi's ears pricked and he lifted his head, "sounds like theres a bit of fun going on." By that time Vekkahad gotten to his feet and walked over to the door and stuck his head through the bars. "Seems to be a bit of activity down there aye gentlemen?" he said while peering round at one of the guards that had been stationed by the door. The guard hesitated for a moment before drawing his sword and hitting Vekka on the head with the handle. Vekka reversed out from the bars. "See... now that wasn't very nice of you...." His markings started to give off a faint glow and a grin spread his face.
He could hear the guards mumbling to each other, "What the hell is that thing!!"
"I dunno! it was a kid yesterday!"
Vekka smiled and said quietly as his pet got to its feet, "Torobi.... were leaving." The giant wolf demon padded up to Vekka, with his head high he took Vekka to his shoulders. "Lead the way."

As Tyra was riding, a sound of an explosion and a crumpling tower met her ears, two men behind she could hear her brother laughing at the top of his voice, "The child of the Fane rises!! HAIL TO THE FANE! HA....." his cry was cut short as one of Tyra's faithful stabbed him through the chest with a long spear. He teetred forward on his steed and caused it to fall to the ground, kicking up a cloud of dust. All those behind simply jumped over the horse and continued to ride. Instead of her usual gloating Tyra kept quiet, probably contemplating what this ment.

As they came over the rise the scout ran back into the Anack camp and informed the troops that the Ennon were coming. Kana let out a sigh "Into positions people!! And no screw ups!!" with that the Anack encampment went quiet, all of its troops in hiding. The tents were already taken down and packed, and the wounded were loaded up in a safe place, ready for the quickest to get them out of the area first. Kana sat hunched down nexto Xion and a few others. "The moment they get here we spring the ambush, hopefully creating enough of a diversion to get the others out of here... that should be time enough for us to do a short but potent hit and run." she turned to Xion and whispered extremely softly, "Although with this expected new player im not too sure on how this will plan out."

Valdred chuckled. "My lady you wound me. I don't need excuses. Obviousely you don't know what happenes while you're asleep." He said in a manner that would send shivers down almost anyones spine. When the tower exploded Valdred growled softly. "That really can't be a good thing." As they got closer to the camp Valdred sensed where Kana was. And more importantly where her bodyguard was He chuckled softly. "Well my lady it would seem that this is where i get off. Do try and not get yourself killed." With that he disappeared with a flash of smoke.

Xion nodded. "Indded we must remain on guard for any..." His sentence was cut short as knives flew into the men around them. Xion barely had enough time to react when he saw the blade heading for Kana. Without thinking he jumped in front of it. The blade pierced his right shoulder and went through it stopping mearly inches away from Kana's face splattering her with Xion's blood. The man holding the blade laughed. "Another second and that pretty little face of hers would have been torn to ribbons. You always were a little on the slow side Xion." Xion grolwed and pulled the blade out of his shoulder with a wince. "No long no see Valdred. I see that you survived our last meeting." Valdred grinned wickedly. "Survived and flourished." Xion unsheathed his sword and unstrapped his sheild from his back. "Kana... Get somewhere safe." He glared back at Valdred. "Is that what you call having a new master tugging at your leash?" Valdred grinned. "Oh believe me... If i had my way she'd be tugging a lot more than that heheh. And you'd be surprised at how loose that old leash has gotten over the years. What about you? Last i heard you had found some little kid to follow around. Shit you could have atleast found one a little older. Or maybe you like em that young? Tell me... How many times have you just thrown that little girl down and had your way with her you sick piece of shi.." Valdred was unable to finish what he was saying as Xion charged at him and begane to swing his sword widly at him. Valdred deflected and dodged every attack with an evil grin on his face.

Tyra gave a glance back at Valdred as he dissapered. a grin spred her face and she mumbled to herself "Kana.... today.. you die." with that the horde thundered through the trees to find an almost deserted campsight, save for the revieled hiding places of kana and Xion. Tyra grinned and flew at Kana with malice in her eyes. "Aaaw kana.... so cute to think that we would fall for this. Its the oldest trick in the book. Where are the others eh? hiding behind newlymade sandtraps?"
Kana growled and got to her feet and wiped some of Xion's blood off her face. "Someone did their homework for a change. Whats this, our 20th... 21st encounter? seems like you brought your pet along too."
"What? hes surely better than yours that can't seem to react very quickly. And this be our twenty second... what Kana? not up to counting?" Around them the Anack broke out of their positons and started to attack the rest of the unexpecting ennon that were behind Tyra. The whole scene was utter chaos, save for a small raduis around Kana and Tyra.
It was Tyra who attacked first, she drew her blades and rushed at kana heaving the blades to make a heavy hit to the head, but to her dissapointment Kana was quick enough to enchant her staff to withstand the attack and brought it up to block the blades. With a quick and fluid motion Kana twisted the staff and wrenched one of Tyra's swords from her hands, tauntingly she let off a grin and mocked, "Remind me Tyra, who retreated last time?"
Rage burned in Tyra's eyes and she grabbed hold of the sword with both hands and let forth a fireball from its tip as she swung it at kana. "Shit..." Kana rolled to the side and was able to cast a sheild in time for the furnace. Without giving any space for a counter attack, Tyra flipped over Kana and made a slash to her back, Kana was able to dodge most of it but the blade stinged into her flesh, burning a blinding pain into her back. Kana yelped for a moment but got to her feet and swung the staff at Tyra's feet, The moment she jumped to aviod it however, Kana reversed the motion and struck Tyra in the head with the but of the staff with such a force that it bled immediately. Tyra shook her head and righted her stance, the Blow had caught her off guard, but not enough so to be deadly. She dodged an attack that immediately followed, as black tendrils rushed above her head. "Resorting to death magic is it now kana?" kana grinned, her staff held high into the air, "Never heard of distractions?" With that she struck the staff to the ground and immediately roots shot up from the ground and started to latch themselvesw to Tyra's wrists and anckles. She struggled and freed one hand, cutting off those to her other hand and searing those to her feet. By that time Kana had gotten behind her and was chanting one of her more.. unpredictable spells.

Torobi's feather like wings on his back had lengthened in span ans widned in shape, thew were large enough to support both his weight and that of Vekka, who was now riding on his back. They hovvered above as they watched the tower crumble. Vekka's markings glowed and pulsed with a rythmic pace because of the recent use of his magic. From that high up he could see the entire encampment. "What a pittiful excuse... Why not make a camp of impenitrable solid stone, and not one of flamable wood and malable metal. Pfft Tyra must obviously think this a game more than a war." He looked over to where in the distance the battle was being fought.
Toroib sopke over the noise of his own wings, "That is too small and uninteresting for you lord Vekka. Maybe something bigger."
"Now now Torobi... what have i said before? no matter how small and insignificant something is... it can always make a nice lightshow. Oooor we could just sit back and watch.... pressure mother a bit you know."
"Nice to know kin has such a high view of each other...."
With that Vekka nudged Torobi in the direction of the battlefeild and they slowly made their way there.... enjoying the sights as they went.

Xion was out of breath. He was having a hard time holding his sword even. Valdred was laughing at him. "Aww what's the matter? Feel like your strength is just fading away? Heheh. You can thank the poison for that." Before Xion could even blink Valdred has closed in and stabbed him in the knees with two glowing green daggers and kicked him back onto the ground. Valded chuckled. "Now where have i seen this before? Hmm.... Oh that's right! You were in that same position the day that i killed the kids parents. Hmm.. I think i remember you were begging me not to kill them too. Hmm.. "He glanced over at where Kana and Tyra were fighting and grinned wickedly. "Oh ho Now this is waaay too good to be true. Good news! You'll get to watch as we rip the skin off that little girl you call your master." Before Xion could do anything Valdred has disappreared in a cloud of smoke then reappear right besides Kana. He grinned wickedly at her. "Morning princess." Without another word he stabbed her in the stomach with one of his knives. He let out a chuckle. "Damn... I just seem to have something against youre family or something. First your parents.. And now you. Sucks don't i..." Vladred stopped talking and looked down at his chest and saw a glowing blue sword sticking out of it. He groaned. "One of these days... I'm gonna start making sure i kill the bodyguard first." Xion kicked Valdred in the back while pulling the sword out of him and grabbed ahold of Kana.. "I believe now would be a good time to retreat my lady.. I'm sorry."

Kana groaned for a moment and coughed up a small ammount of blood but still managed to let off a smile, "Its not your fault."
Tyra laughed coldly, "Now isnt this a touching sight... Too bad it won't last lon..." she was innterupted by her own men's screaming as one rushed into view before it turned into ash. "Hell yea! I love the smell of burnt Ennon in the evening."
Tyra turned to see Ming setting flame to what was left of her small raiding party that she had brought along. She yelled in fury and looked back at Kana with burning eyes, only to find her smiling back, "Once again you were outsmarted by a child... tyra." she said faintly.
Tyra growled and hefted Valdred to her steed that, remarkably... was still alive and standing. She scowled "I swear Kana one day.."
Kana finished off her scentence with a small chuckle, "I will kill you? thats 23 times now ive heard that statement..."
Tyra mounted her steed with Valdred on the back and ran through the camp towards her own. "Full retreat!"
After they had gone Ming relocated her shoulder that one of the Ennon had managed to pull out from its socket. She looked at Kana then to Xion. "my guess is it was rough.... But hey good news, as i got in here i saw everyone else getting away safely. With the ennon out of the area for the moment i guess we could get our tails moving eh?" She walked over to them and picked up Kana's staff which she had dropped when valdred had stabbed her.

Torobi landed on the planes just after the Retreating Ennon and his wings shrinked to their normal state. "WHat now?"
Vekka watched and thought for a moment. "well.. looks like theres been some trouble. yet again they retreat. but by the smell of things... seems to me like there was enough bloodshead there ... well..... not exactly that much..." he lifted his hand and his markings emmited a slight pulse as the last rider and horse dropped dead as they ran. "As i thought.... Weaklings. Now see Trobi, why is one so ignorant like that? bringing weaklings to kill a sly enemy." he let out a sigh. "im not really up to it... but i think things are going to get alittle interesting back home no?"
Torobi let out a short growl. "Back in cages we go Vekka?"
he let out a laugh. "Cages? oh no.... im thinking more along the lines of a stone palace..."
"Thats enough for one day Vekka... anymore and youll loose controll again..."
"Fine.. tomorrow then. But for now let us follow the leader." With that Torobi set off, following a descreat distance behind Tyra and her ilk.

Xion smiled at Kana. "Well i suppose it could be worse. Atleast we're alive and..." Just then his eyes rolled into the back of his head and fell over unconscious.

Vladred groaned as they rode away from the battlefield. He spoke weakly. "See? I knew you cared heheh. Shit..... Almost had the little bitch. The poison works fast but it's easy to treat. Damnit.... If i hadn't screwed up we would have won. I swear i'm gonna rip that Aasimar's throat out and make him beg me to kill him." He then started to cough up quiet a lot of blood. "Bastard... Think he pierced a lung or something.... Having a hard time breathing right now..."

Kana fell to her knees and looked over at Xion. "All wars ever do is hurt. Ming... would you mind?..." Ming paused a moment but walked over to Xion and threw his arm over her shoulders and, with effort, managed to pull him up. "Boy but he is heavy....' Kana shook her head and managed to get to her feet, the cut in her back was burning like it was on fire, and that that Valdred had caused in her stomache was sapping away at her strength. "We need to mooe quickly if we want to catch up... Damn it." She took her staff from Ming and used it to lean on.
Ming shifted Xion to the side so his shoulderplate wasnt sticking her in the neack. "This way kana, the others had to make a slight detour because of some... uuuh. Fire damage?" With that they slowly made their way towards the others.

Tyra let out a sigh, "That and her firemaker. If that haddnt happned Kana would of been dead.... although." a small grinn spread her face, "you not the only one who usues poisons Valdred. Right now that of my blade is running thick through her Veins. Not as quick acting as yours .... but quite potant all the same. We can get the healers to fix you up. Were nearly at the city."

"Seems as though the passanger has awoken eh? Im quite surprised hes even awake. Im glad strong blood fliws through my veins..."
Torobi panted as he ran, it was a rather odd pace, not walking but not fully running. "Regarless of your Heritage its the Planes of the Fane that you get you'r power Vekka."
Vekka leaned back casually, "Fane... Peh.... just another demonic Relm. Nothing really important about it."
"The Fane is your power Vekka, don't take it lightly. Lest it choose another."
That statement sent Vekka laughing, "Firstly... I am the Fane, secondly.... you don't have to say my name every time you talk to me... it gets quite annoying after a time..."
    "Yes Vekka..."
Vekka only let out a sigh and let the matter drop.

Valdred chuckled then started coughing. "Good to see some of me rubbed off on ya." He winced and almost fell unconscious. His breathing was getting much heavier."Ow.... well ya mind speeding this thing up a bit? I'm not really in a rush or anything but i am kinda bleeding to death and suffacating here."

Tyra looked back at valdred for a moment then back at her few remaining men.Fortunately Her steed was much faster than the others. She let out a sigh, "Know that i only do this because you are a great asset to this army. If you were a weakling i would drop you here and let you bleed to death." she said in her usual cold and pittieless voice. But there was a faint hint of something else, but nothing so strong that any others might of picked up. Without a word to her followes she squeased the horse on its sides and snapped the reins, "HEA!" The charger let out a deep cry and surged forward, leaving the others of its small pack struggeling to follow.

The small group had caught up to the rest of the Anack. Ming was the first to reach them, despite having to carry Xion. Kana on the other hand was having a hard time even keeping her eyes open, she was leaning on her staff now more than ever and her movements were becoming ever more laboured. As she climbed over a large root her staff snagged in a crack, making her fall to the ground. She groaned for a moment and reached to her side, where she had secured one of the fallen Ennon's blades. She freed it from her side and with much effort plunged it into the earth and used it to get to her feet... more of less. By the time she came into view Ming had already taken Xion to one of the healers, who was buisy on his wounds. Ming rushed over to kana and helped her to stand. By the time that Kana got to sit down she was breathing quite rapidly and sweat was accumulating on her brow. From there her vision blured and the last thing she remembered was the terrified face of one of the nearby nobles as he faded into nothing.

Vekka raised an eyebrow in interest as he saw Tyra break away from the remainder of the group and race towrads the tempry city. "A leader deserting her group for the health of one eh?"
Torobi shook his head as his paws pounded the earth, "The life of one more powerful is more important than those of the weaklings Vekka."
Vekka roled his eyes, "Fine then... i guess if she dosnt care about them.... And if they are truely useless ... i guess shewont really miss them eh Torobi?"
Torobi let out a snort, "Don't over exert yourself."
Vekka rolled his eyes, "On these weaklings? HAH!" Without another word Vekka jumped up and stood atop the now galloping Torobi. He kept his knees bent to absorb the motion of Torob's running. A grin swept his face as he faced his palm towards the group ahead of him. Torobi had soon caught up to them and was in the midst of the galloping horses. Vekka flashed a fanged grinn as he imagined teh terror in the faces of those around him. In an instant his markings flared to life and a giant fireball flew from his hand and incinerated the closest rider, as well as his horse.

Tyra felt heat on her back as a giant column of fire spread out from where her group used to be. She scowled and let out a curse as she cracked the rains again, forcing her horse to run as fast as it could without tripping itself up. In no time it ran through the gates of the city and watched as her followers carried Valdred away to a healer. She dismounted her horse and looked at her side, where only one of her blades remained. she let out a sigh and started off towards the blacksmith to aquire a new blade.

Valdred let out a soft chuckle. "Gee thanks. That makes me feel so much better." He seemed to lean up cloder against her and muttered to himself. "If only cause i know that isn't true." As Tyra's followers carried him away he couldn't help but remember a time back when this happened much more often. Back when he was still getting used to the body he has now he was constantly being hurt. But despite his incompetence Tyra never did just leave him to die. He seemed to be one of the only people she actually showed any mercy to. Although the punishment she would give him afterwords made him think that it wasn't mercy at all she just enjoyed watchuing him suffer moreso than her other soldiers.

As tyra reached the Blacksmith she overheard two of her soldiers gossiping to each other about the 'demon child' as the so affectionately reffered to Vekka.
"I heard that it no longer looks like a child anymore! One of the others saw him rush away on that hell spawned wolf of his..." one rather gaunt soldier said to its comraid.
The other seemed to be the exact opposite, skiny to the point of being only skin and bone. "Its eyes glow like the pits of hell they say, and its makings do the same. I heard it grew up over night almost, and the wards placed on the tower did nothing to contain it."
The gaunt soldier nodded, "with it loose, who knows what wil happen.... Might we even have a new ruler?"
At that point in time Tyra had hade enough and stepped out from the shadows. The looks on the other two's faces could only be described as sheer terror. Without a word she flicked out her blade and thrust it into the gaunt soldiers chest with such a force that it made the armour plating seem like tissue paper. She wrenched out the blade and he fell to the floor like a limp ragdoll. Tyra turned to the other, "Let that be a lesson to you all. Speak like that again and it will be considered treson. In which case. " She wiped off the blood on her blade with her hand, "Ill be able to make a city out of the bones of those that i kill." A wicked grin spread her face as she turned into the doors to the blacksmith.

Ming whiped round and was quick enough to catch Kana before she struck the ground. "What on earth happned back there?!" The commander that had attended the previous meeting scowled and pointed a thick finger at Kana, "See? What kind of leader is this that would fall prey so easily to that of Tyra's blade!" he started to ramble on about having kana as the leader was a mistake.
Ming placed kana down by the healer and walked up to the commander with a glare on her face. Without hesitation she grabbed his cloak, "BURN TRATOR!" with that his cloat caught flame and it quickly spread to the rest of his body, by that time Ming had summoned her sword and slashed the man's neack. He fell to the ground and turned to ashes. The others looked at her with a horrified look on their faces. she pulled from her pocket a coin that she had quickly pick pocketed from the dead commander and showed it to the croud before tossing it towrads the closest person. "Those are the coins the Ennon use to recruit their men. Obviously that man had been working for the Ennon as a spy and a trator, trying to make us doubt the strength of our leader! and that of ourselves! Any of you who listned to this snake should drwon out his poison with the wise words of leaders past. Many of us may not have known them, but we all know their wisdom!" With that she growled and picked up the melted brestplate of the commander and walked off to a stone where she purched herself atop it and started to mold the metal into something of interest.

"Good idea Vekka... Lets just walts right into the camp like no one knows us and pay them a visit. What were you thinking."
Vekka let off a sigh and rubbed his arm wich was tingling slightly from the way he used it before. Not entirely used to his power, one slip up might trigger him to loose complete control. He had hoped to incinerate each person seperately, but instead he let go of the magic for only a moment and it had created the column of fire. "My thoughts are to pay some a visit. And no... just walking in wasnt my idea... although it could be rather fun, for a change i want to slip in unnoticed. In which case a small rift might do the trick. But you will have to dissappear for ahwile."
Torobi stopped his running and let Vekka off. "Dissapear? you mean to go back to the holding relm until you call for me?"
    Vekka nodded, "Precicely."
Torobi let out a sigh, "As you wish." With that the blue flames from his body engulfed him and he dissapered.
Vekka streached. "Now if i can remember correctly... it should be on teh north side..." He mumbled a slight chant and steped through the rift that he had just created. As he stepped out on the other side it closed behind him. "That wasnt too bad.." He took a look around the dark room. It was empty except for a single bed and a curtained window. Vekka walked up to the bed, the shadows seeming to stick to him, kepping him for the most part, invisible.
A few moments before Vekka's arrival the healer had left the room after giving valdred something to geal his wounds quickly.
Vekka stared down at Valdred for a moment before pacing lightly around the bed, as a wild cat circles its prey. He stopped at the side and a grin swept his face. "How interesting to see that i have your eyes..... father."
