Dynus forced his hand onto his forehead, allowing his fingers to run into his hair before slamming his other hand onto a nearby table in a frustrated manner. His back now turned towards Tanis Dynus paused a moment before saying, "let the boy go.."
Confused the guardsman asked, "Pardon your lordship but,.."
"You heard me!" he said, his frustration clearly rising. "And get him out of my sight." With that some guards escorted Tanis to the front door of the house, leaving the great hall far behind.
Ingrith felt herself let off a silent sigh as she watched Tanis' reflection on the polished marble floor bafore turning her attention back towards her father
"This is exactly why Ive picked you out a suitor, things like this will Never happen in the future." Dynus said, hand still clenched slightly on the table, his other now hanging at his side.
Ingrith shook her head for a moment, not too sure on if she heard what she thought she heard. Attempting to keep her stature she calmly spoke, "Father?"
"Daldendarin, the Erl of Eidenborugh's son. Weve made an aggreement that upon your marrage the two cities will form an alliance and share our wealth and resources."
Ingrith felt her eyes tear up before quickly wiping away at them with the sleave of her dress, "What??" the distress clearly showing in her voice, "I'm not some currency you can use just to get more land and gold for your coffers!"
"Ingrith thats enough!"
"No!" her voice becoming slightly more choked my the munite, "I will not hold still and marry a man i barely know! JUST so you can plot your wealth!"
"MY DECISION IS FINAL!" he roared, making a strey glass on the table shudder with the intencity of his voice.
Ingrith stood there at a loss for words before running off towards her room, slamming the door shut behind her. Ingrith threw herself onto her bed and buiried her face in her pillow before letting the tears run down her face into the fabric.
it felt like an hour or two had gone by until she plucked up the corage to wonder back out onto her balcony and sit herself back down into her chair, the tea on the table now had long since lost its warmth. And so it seemed had the sky. The sun had been chased bahind the mountains and the stars had started to show their faces. With her sences numbed Ingrith stared out towards the city, her thoughts running amock in her head.
