Steamworks and Magicka

Alyssa let out a sigh as she walked before picking up a small oil lamp that had been placed on the floor, lighting it as they went along. "Sorry. I'd rather not run in to Acurio again today, he's in one of his.... Dangerous moods." She said before glancing back, "sorry for dragging you along all of a sudden. I just reacted." She held the lamp forward, going down a small flight of stairs, "I managed to get ahold of some of the ships planns before boarding. Just in case you understand."

"I see" Said Justin as he followed her. "Where does this lead then?" He asked.

Alyssa smiled and looked back to him, "these paths go all over the ship. This one goes back to the rothchild's quarters. I'm friends with the twins." She said with a light smile before continuing for only a short while, coming to a halt before lifting the lamp up slightly to shine in front of them, muttering to herself. "I smell blood...." She would elevate her voice a moment "who's there??

"B bb lood?" Justin would stutter. "How can you smell blood? Are you that accustomed to it?" He asked her.

"Uhm. In a. Way." She said still looking forward before she would start to move, pausing again as a slumped figure would come in to view ahead of them. It laying with its back against the wall, hair covering his eyes and a dagger in one hand

Justin pulled on the back of Alyssa's dress as the figure came into view. "Wait." He whispered. "This man could be dangerous. Allow me to take point." He said as he moved awkwardly in between her and the figure. He nervously cleared his throat before speaking aloud. "Who goes there?" He asked in an attempt at a commanding voice.

Bladde shifted a moment, his faster than normal regeneration having kicked in hours ago, leaving him ready to jump back in to action.
He moved his head to the side a moment, glancing up to the two with a slight groan. "No ones supposed to know about these passages.." He thought to himself.

Alyssa peered past justin to get a good look of the man, unconciously resting her hands on justin's back yet again.
Before bladde could speak or scramble away it was Alyssa's keen eye that grabbed at his form. "You're the one father was talking to." She said with a frown, "for your own safety, I'd ask that you abandon whatever he's having you do as its quite obvious you intend to fight.... Or kill."

Justin stuttered. "Um w w w what, Your father's payed this guy to kill someone?" He asked fear showing in his eyes. "What sort of business is your father in anyways?"

"Has nothing to do with business." Alyssa looked to justin a moment, "just part of his sick games" she said with a hint of remorse in her tone before looking back down to Bladde, blinking for a second. In the moment she had spoken and drawn the attention away from him he had completely vanished.

Above the two in the hallway Bladde gritted his teeth as he pressed himself up against the sides of the walls to stay in position. -the hell did they get in here. No ones supposed to know about these passages- he thought bitterly to himself before copying a motion from alyssa, seeing her look forward down the corridoor he followed suit, looking out up ahead.

Alyssa blinked and looked forward into the darkness, a faint, yet glowing blue outline of a figure appearing up ahead, seeming to just stay there.

Justin looked around the room as the man vanished. "Where did he...go?" He asked in a hushed tone.




Finally managing to get away from the talk of business Ellis took a stroll out into the halls. He looked out a window and down at the world below, hoping that he could set food on solid ground soon.

"Master will be very dissatisfied the eldest pet has been cheating." The deeper calm tone of acurio rung throughout the corridoor.
Alyssa glanced back at justin before turning around, placing a hand on his chest, pushing slightly to urge him back.

"I don't get paid enough for this.." Bladde groaned to himself before slipping through a vent in the roof, vanishing. His intent to simply abandon his mission clear in his own mind as clearly this was far more than he signed on for.

Acurio let off an eerie chuckle as his appearance gained a near weightless feel as he lifted himself off from the ground, vanishing off.

Alyssa let off a sigh, shaking her head. "I can't handle this any more... I really can't. Silvermane name be damned"

"Umm.. well." Justin stuttered. "Wheeen we land.... do youuuu think... that you couuuld.. come with me and getawayfromallofthis?" He said voicing taking a high surprised pitch as he released what he was saying.


Ellis walked down the halls as he swung his pocket watch around while whistling a tune. He started to tail behind someone before calling them out. "Mister Burk! You wouldn't happen to be looking for a future business partner would you?" Ellis asked in a sly grin. The man called Burk turned around with an equally sly look. "Yes i am Dear sir, yes i am."

Alyssa stares at him for some time, not seeming to find the words before simply holding his hand. "I... sure."

"Sure?" Justin squeaked, his face turning a bright red shade. "You mean.... you.....Will?"

her cheeks tint as well before nodding a bit, "Yeah. when the ship lands, i'll go with you"

All Justin could do was stand there and gawk at her eventually slapping himself and turning away quickly. "Right yes well..... I'm uhh.. certain that i can find a place for you at my.....house." He said trying his best to sound in control despite the fact that he was jumping up and down like a child in a candy store on the inside.

Alyssa couldn't help but chuckle at his antics, taking his hand after a moment before leading him back through the passageways, "Silly, don't hit yourself"

"Right yeah sorry." Said Justin as he was led back down the passage. "I umm.. suppose i should tell you now.... My house.... it's probably nothing like you're used to. It's a little....small." He said in an embarrassed tone.

Alyssa shook her head, "I don't mind in the least...." she said glancing back to him with a smile, "Not one of those fussy nobles." she looked forward and led them back up to the entrance, opening it and stepping through, waiting to close it after Justin stepped through

"Oh.. hehe.. well uhh.. Good then...." Justin stuttered as he walked out.

Alyssa closed the door behind him before looking back, "For now though, what should we do? its still a while before we land isn't it?" she said, clearly implying the fact she planned on avoiding her brother and father

"Yeah." Said Justin. "We land in about five hours. I suppose we could find.. something to entertain ourselves with. I heard that they have those moving pictures set up somewhere. Haven't really had a chance to take a look at them though. Suppose we could take a look?" He asked with a shrug.

Alyssa nodded, "Sounds like a plan. lead the way"

Justin led her down to one of the parlors where they were showing the film. The silent Motion pictures were all the rage in Arland, The industry earning far more than expected even out earning certain weapon manufacturers.

So engrossing was the display of new technology that those that were at the showing before Justin and Alyssa were oblivious to the body of one Mister Burk falling down past the window. His screams muffled by the music playing within.

Bladde was having an increasingly hard time trying to avoid Acurio, no matter where he went the white haired horror never seemed to be a far way away, wheather he was just toying with Bladde or seriously looking is unknown.

Alyssa walked in past justin, staying just behind him as she peered round, scanning the crowd for a moment for certain family members. seeing the coast clear she'd step out some, looking up to the screen at the display
